  1. These terms and conditions apply to Stage Central courses given to students, applied for and consented to by the parent or guardian (referred to hereinafter as "student"). Changes to these terms and conditions require the written consent of Stage Central.
  2. Any new application will only be accepted if accompanied by the deposit/annual registration fee in cheque form made payable to "Stage Central" and forwarded to 14 Gilsforth Lane Whixley YO26 8BF. Existing applicants will need to apply again each August using the current Stage Central application form together with the annual registration fee.
  3. Methods of Payment of Termly School Fees
    1. By cheque of the full fees for the term in question made payable to "Stage Central" and forwarded to 14 Gilsforth Lane Whixley YO26 8BF one month before the first session of each term.
    2. By cheque form in 3 equal installments to be post dated for the same day each month as the term-start date, one month before the first session of each term.

Courses take place once a week. A "usual" Stage Central term consists of 12 course days. This can sometimes vary, as school holidays must be taken into account. The term dates will be made known by the Stage Central Calendar. The fees for one term are calculated as one third of the whole year's fees of 36 course days.
    3. Those with two or more students attending from the same family will be eligible for 10% discount on the second and third child for the term.
  4. a) Written (including email) confirmation from Stage Central of an application received by it establishes a contract for the provision of teaching services. b) In the case of a student attending any course for the first time the contract can be terminated by not later than 4 days after the second course day. Any fees paid, over and above the deposit amount, will be refunded. Termination will only be accepted when received by Stage Central. c) Thereafter the contract automatically continues for the consecutive term unless it is terminated before the end of the sixth course day in writing (not email). In that case the contract will expire on the last day of the current term. Termination will only be accepted when received by Stage Central. d) In cases of illness of at least 4 consecutive course days Stage Central will, on presentation of a doctor’s certificate, refund the fees for those course days missed. Occasional missed lessons due to illness, holidays etc are non refundable e) If at any time during a term Stage Central cancel a course, students will receive – at the option of Stage Central – either a refund or a credit note for a later course, for those course days not held. f) The contract terminates, without the need for written notice, automatically at the end of the term in which student celebrates his / her 17th birthday. However, a student may continue after this date on a voluntary term-by-term basis subject to the agreement of Stage Central.
  5. Stage Central reserves the right to exclude students from lessons.
  6. Stage Central reserves the right to make changes to the timetable and to the teaching staff. Stage Central, can, if it sees fit, raise fees by a reasonable amount at the beginning of an Autumn Term, in order to offset rising costs for teachers, room rental etc. If fees are raised by more than 5% a student has the right to terminate the agreement with a period of four weeks notice in writing to expire on the 31st of August in any year.
  7. Lessons are broken down into 3 x 60 minutes slots rotating around 3 disciplines, dance, drama and singing. There is a juice and a toilet break included.
  8. Students participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform Stage Central and its staff of any existing injuries or medical condition.
  9. Students are obliged to take care of their own belongings. Stage Central can accept no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
  10. The liability of Stage Central and that of its staff is restricted to class time only and then only to gross negligence or intent. Failure to carry out an important contractual obligation is governed by the normal standard of a duty of care.
